Our client, a market leader within Material Handling and Process Automation, are heavily recruiting within Japan due to a number of contract wins within the Automated Warehousing sector.
A truly global organisation with massive presence across Europe, Americas and APAC, they focus on the design, build, installation and maintenance of industrial machinery within 3 key areas; Warehousing, Parcel and Baggage Handling.
We are actively recruiting a Site Manager who will provide ownership in managing and leading all site based activities in the delivery of each project including installation and commissioning of material handling systems.
Further, you'll be responsible for the following tasks:
Manage all site based installation activities
Plan, monitor, procure, store and ship all goods and services to site to build the system
Securing the delivery of a safe system that can be maintained safely and safe execution on-site
Manage site budget and minimise financial exposure
Manage delivery of the project within budget, scope and agreed timelines
Manage project plan
Reporting and planning updates to the customer
Lead team in executing all activities, including sub contractorsYour profile
Engineering Qualification - Degree level
5+ years of Industrial automation / Material Handling systems
Complex installation management experience
Stakeholder management experience
Health and Safety expert
Knowledge of scope management and project planning
Budget management experience
People management and development capability
Able to work and communicate in a multidisciplinary project team
English and Japanese communicationAdditional Information
This position will require initial international travel to Europe for a period of up to 6 months. This is to ensure you have the opportunity to learn all the clients products, work on live project environments and complete an in-depth induction period before returning to Japan (Tokyo).
