M&E Technical Director

Joining this global real estate provider as an M&E Technical Director, you will provide technical guidance and leadership on Mechanical & Electrical Engineering issues from site selection through design and construction. Your global team of Mechanical & Electrical subject matter experts have a crucial role in the further expansion of their global datacentre portfolio, with a remit that will incorporate:

Support Development Team through site selection, leading on technical due diligence studies and initial operational engineering studies,

Management of external engineering consultants to meet programme and design requirements, achieving commercial and technical standards,

Inputting into the Research and Development of technologies enabling integration into the design of new datacentre facilities across the globe,

Provide technical direction and support to engineering, delivery and commissioning teams on matters relating to M&E Engineering Design,

You will be joining an established provider in the datacentre colocation space. Their international portfolio presently includes 30 facilities across Europe and Asia, with another 250MW's either under construction or at the planning stage.

The role is well suited to an engineer who is an Electrical or Mechanical Design Engineer, who can demonstrate a depth of technical knowledge and experience in designing complex mission-critical facilities - ideally hyper-scale datacentres (50MW plus). You will also have the following skills/experience:

At least 15 years working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects from a design perspective,
Delivered projects across different locations, ideally a mix of Europe and Asia,
Proven ability in the management of technical staff within either a colocation provider, consultancy or contractor,

Alongside a basic salary of up to £115,000, there is a package that includes;
