Assistant Manager - Compliance

Job description Role Summary: We are seeking a Compliance / Data Protection Manager. This is a senior role within the Compliance Team of Sanne LIS S.A. (LIS), a leading third party ManCo and AIFM. You will be involved in all areas of Compliance, AML/CFT and Data Protection including the development and mentoring of more junior team members. Depending on your experience, this position will be shaped as an assistant manager or as a manager position. The role holder will report to the Head of Compliance and for Data Protection to the Data Protection Officer.   Key Responsibilities: Key player in the Compliance Team for a broad spectrum of day-to-day-business; Depending on your experience: Support or act as Data Protection Officer (DPO), including coordination with the Group DPO; Ensure compliance, together with the Head of Compliance, with local laws and regulations as well as to the organization's policies and procedures; Give guidance to all levels of employees in relation to the execution and implementation of regulatory obligations and the internal procedures; Performance of controls in accordance with the Compliance Monitoring Plan and ad hoc and support in the further development of the plan; Act as an escalation point when analysing AML/KYC for new clients and investments; Provide support for the RCs appointed for funds in the event of complex issues; Develop and maintain the Compliance and AML/CFT Policies and Procedures; Provide support to the Head of Compliance; Support the preparation of the annual Compliance report, the AML/CFT risk report and all other internal and external reports; Assist in maintaining the Compliance logs, such as Conflicts of Interest register, Complaints register; Provide in-house trainings to all level of staff. Requirements Skills and Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in Compliance or Regulatory in the financial sector, preferably in the fund industry; Good command of the Luxembourg regulatory environment, especially regarding alternative investments, AML/CFT and Data Protection; University degree in Economics or Law; Fluent in English (knowledge of German will be considered as an asset); Strong analytical and communication skills; Strong organizational skills; Ability to prioritize tasks and to work autonomously as well as in team; Highly efficient, proactive and trustworthy; Attention to details; Good command of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; First experiences with transactions and investments of AIFs would be appreciated.
