Structured Finance Lead - WD
What you will do
The team is responsible for originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing finance transactions that fund infrastructure and energy projects for Johnson Controls. The primary purpose of the team is to use various financing tools to secure revenue from project and product sales. We also help to manage balance sheet liquidity through the sale of receivables from financing transactions. We offer financing to customers across multiple vertical markets including the commercial and government sectors. We use instalment purchase arrangements, tax-exempt lease-purchases, certificates of participation, equipment leases, as-a-service models, solar power purchase agreements, equity, bonds, and public private partnerships (P3).
How you will do it
Structured Finance supports owner-direct sales across all global markets.
Manage transactions for JCI's owner-direct sales in Europe through our equipment finance and subscription service programs.
Manage transactions from origination to closing with support from the Global Structured Finance and Treasury team.
Lead the origination of the transaction with the customer and sales and will also manage assignments with partner banks.
Gather due diligence materials for credit reviews to ensure that our development teams pursue bankable customers.
Coordinate with sales and development engineers to perform financial modeling.
Help customers fund projects with limited resources and within tight time constraints.
Explain complex finance topics to sales personnel and customers who may not have the same level of expertise.
Interact with customer leadership as well as our partner banks, leasing companies, underwriters, and attorneys.
What we look for
Finance or accounting degree.
Proven track record and previous extensive experience from Asset-based lending, Equipment leasing, Captive, Structured or Industrial finance.
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel (when travel restrictions due to COVID-19 are relaxed).
