Senior Manager - EU Transportation (MF)

DESCRIPTION Amazon is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented strategy/program manager with a strong customer focus. This senior leadership position will be working with different European transportation and operations teams on further shaping and execute a comprehensive EU transportation strategy for Amazon for the coming years as well as will support the planning and execution of different transportation programs. Your Responsibilities: · Be a thought leader helping to shape and refine our last mile landscape to better serve our customers · Drive internal alignments with different stakeholders to get consensus and implement the proposed strategy · Support the different transportation country teams to best elaborate their local strategy and how to best execute it · Work with local country teams to help them raising performance standards with all carriers thru identification of their service capabilities and support in defining the roadmap to become best in class · Coordinate with public policy how to remove the last mile delivery blockers preventing to further improve customer experience · Communicate frequently and comprehensively to ensure the alignment and support of multiple organizations, internal and external to Amazon · Work closely with different teams to drive analysis, business cases and alignment with business stakeholders · Support shaping the best in class network definition and set-up · Support managing country-wide programs to define and implement network changes BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · Professional experience in either transportation and postal industry/community or consulting within a demanding corporate environment · Proven analytical skills and ability to influence people both internally and externally · Decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas · A passionate self-starter, ready to take Amazon’s customer experience to the next level · Strong communication skills, including ability to write compelling, concise documents and present your ideas with passion and persuasion · Broad logistics awareness developed in a high-growth, fast-moving environment · Strong transportation background with proven ability to drive change · Clear evidence of directly and indirect managing and motivating teams · Proven English skills – both verbal and written · Engineering or Economics degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · 10+ years of Professional experience in transportation/logistics leadership in a fast moving and international environment · MBA from a leading business school
