The Accounts Clerk forms part of the Finance Department of Malta Retailing Ltd. The job purpose entails performing a variety of general accounting support tasks and routine financial duties. The position is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within MRL.
- Inputting and monitoring shops daily deposits
- Early morning daily requisitions and coins for outlets
- Checking of retail shops’ bags and the necessary replenishment
- Cash Remittance
- Batch entries from Sales Representatives and Drivers
- Sorting and organizing of shops deposits
- Reconciliation and positing for redeemed vouchers
- Checking of Miracle Foods shops deposits and Epos charges
- Daily Cash availability report update for all companies
- Coin orders, preparation, postings and reconciliations
- Preparing payment runs to local creditors
- All filing of jobs being executed
- Strict adherence to company confidentiality and professionalism
- Attends training programs as instructed by the company, during or outside office hours
Minimum Requirements
Ø Knowledge of Accounting principles, having an analytical mind and the ability to meet deadlines
Ø Able in implementing company policies with minimal supervision
Ø Able to perform duties in multi-company environment
Ø Self-motivated, well-organized, good communication and inter-personal skills
Ø Able to work on own initiative and making decisions confidently
