Job Summary: The Assistant Restaurant Manager will ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently whilst delivering a positive dining experience to our guests.



·         Address customers’ complaints to ensure their satisfaction and repeat business opportunities

·         Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste

·         Ensure that relevant information is communicated to direct reports enabling them to effectively carry out their functions

·         Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus

·         Implement policies that will improve future restaurant operations

·         Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues

·         Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations

·         Oversee the training of new employees

·         Process orders to the purchasing department

·         Process payroll for all restaurant staff

·         Supervise kitchen and front of house staff and provide assistance as needed

·         Schedule staff members to ensure that all shifts are properly manned and that any staff shortages are addressed properly

·         Set targets and goals for team members and assist them in reaching these goals in a time efficient manner· 

·         Work towards ensuring that standards of hygiene are maintained by staff members and advocate good sanitary practices


Qualifications & Assets:

·         Ability to work variable shift pattern including evenings, public holidays and weekends

·         Ability to handle unexpected problems and provide solutions to challenges

·         Excellent presentation skills

·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry

·         Proven track record in fostering team work, building morale and improving staff motivation
