Meeting Point Hotel Management (Malta) Ltd. operates a number of hotels in Malta under the brand name of LABRANDA Hotels and Spa and is seeking to recruit Head Chef on a Full-Time basis.
Duties include, but will not be limited to:
- Controlling and directing the food preparations;
- Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer;
- Managing and working closely with others Chefs of all levels;
- Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality;
- Carrying out efficient staff scheduling aimed at ensuring sufficient manning at the least possible cost at each service, outlet and function;
- Completing and submitting reports accurately and on time, including employee time sheets, rosters,appraisal forms, performance reports, health and safety reports, and correspondence concerning complaints and follow up action;
- Personally supervising food presentations and displays of menus and promotions to ensure their appeal and impact;
- Perform other related duties as deemed required and necssary by the MPHMM C-level Management.
The selected candidate must :
- A degree/higher national diploma on related field;
- 3+ years of experience as a Head Chef;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to delegate and think under pressure;
- Strong grasp of the English language;
- Ability to oversee and manage kitchen operations;
- Experienced in Microsoft office programs.
