Job Summary: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for organizing, cleaning and sorting hotel linen, including sheets and towels. The candidate must be a detail-oriented individual, who enjoys working independently whilst taking pride in his or her work.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Able to move bundles of linen in and out of equipment
  • Able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Able to prioritize and organize work
  • Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper
  • Perform additional housekeeping duties as necessary

 

Qualifications & Assets:

  • Ability to lift bundles of linen
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as needed
  • Ability to integrate and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and flexibility with work schedule to accommodate last minute requests
  • Previous experience as a laundry worker will be considered an asset
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
