Meeting Point Hotel Management (Malta) Ltd., a subsidiary of the FTI Group operates a number of hotels in Malta under the brand name of LABRANDA Hotels and Resorts. In view of the continuous business growth the company is seeking to recruit on a full time basis a Lebanese Speciality Chef to be based at LABRANDA Riviera Hotel & Spa in Marfa.
Reporting directly to the Executive Head Chef, duties include but not limited to:
Creating high quality Lebanese dishes to complement our special Lebanese menu;
Planning special meals or substitute items;
Ensuring ingredients are of good quality and stored correctly;
Contributing to menu creation by responding and incorporating guest feedback;
Supervising and supporting junior chefs in food production;
Ensuring that food presentation and buffet set ups are attractive;
Monitoring all aspects pertaining to the control of the hotel’s food cost;
Assisting other departments whenever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
The selected candidate must have:
A high proficiency in Lebanese cuisine;
Possess a minimum 1 year experience working in a Lebanese restaurant;
Be prepared to work a flexible roster including evening and weekend duties on a frequent basis;
Have a good knowledge of the English Language;
The ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team;
A willingness to learn and diversify;
The ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
