Listgrove are recruiting for a specialist & technical packaging manufacturer in Malta, who recognise their need to develop more complex products and become more professional at managing projects, with a proper stage gate process and proper FMEA's.

The potential candidate could come from within cosmetics industry or from any other packaging / component manufacturing business, where projects are more complex and properly planned.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:
Work with clients, manufacturers and internal teams to ensure bespoke products are suitable for manufacture and fit for purpose.
Use knowledge and expertise to provide technical and engineering support on both bespoke and standard projects in front of clients.
Can look at new technologies which provide competitive advantages
Consider the use of 3D printing, moulding, decoration and assembly processes into manufacturing.
Project manage the development of client bespoke projects and specific product lines
Step managing the process of development from concept to first production
Liaise with clients, manufactures and internal teams during the design and development process to ensure that bespoke packaging products meet the given brief, set requirements, specifications and cost targets.
Animate specific product ranges, identifying opportunities of new developments and of product integration
Support in price calculations for bespoke proposals
Responsible for establishing processes including protocols for product validation.
Responsible for testing and validation of products
Responsible for developing report and documentation formats

Qualifications / Skills Required:
5+ years direct experience managing projects in component manufacturing industry.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Knowledge of any of the following processes, injection moulding, printing, automated assembly, lacquering, labelling, glass cutting, would be advantageous
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Advanced level user of IT applications and formal project management software.
Availability to travel
