As a key member of our supply chain management department, the Inventory Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory control, warehouse/logistics, and purchasing processes through advanced data analysis and strategic insights. Success will be gauged by the ability to analyze inventory data, offer informed recommendations, and implement strategies for improving both inventory accuracy and utilization. This role will report directly to the Supply Chain and Inventory Management Director.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
Oversee all aspects of inventory control, ensuring accuracy in stock levels, minimizing excess inventory, and exceeding inventory service levels
Develop processes and tools for conversion of forecast and market data into a discrete demand plan for both distribution and value-add portions of the organization
Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to interpret and analyze large datasets related to inventory, warehouse, and purchasing activities
Proficiency utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Access to extract, transform, and visualize data for actionable insights & reports; inventory trends, forecast accuracy, and other relevant metrics
Implement and optimize inventory management policies and procedures to optimize supply chain efficiency
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline processes and improve the overall flow of goods within the supply chain
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory control standards
Work closely with the Supply Chain Director to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing costs
Analyze demand trends and recommend adjustments to procurement strategies
Stay current on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in business processes and system solutions, documenting and fully understanding systems/applications, business rules/processes, data models/flows, and integrations
Experience Required:
5+ years of proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a supply chain or inventory management role
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and database management tools like Microsoft Access
Advanced knowledge of standard Supply Chain principles and practices
Prior experience maintaining business systems - ERP, CRM, Reporting, etc.

Attention to Detail: ability to identify and rectify discrepancies in inventory records, transactions, and overall processes, ensuring a high level of accuracy
Effective Communication: strong communication skills to convey complex findings, recommendations, and insights across multiple levels of the organization.

Initiative: takes ownership of work, doing what is needed without being asked, following through
 Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move products weighing up to 25 pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing and pulling
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance
Work Environment:
Ability to remain at a stationary position 50% of the time
Must live within an agreed upon location/ geography to service customers and employees
