Job Description
Purpose:
The Data and Statistical Sciences (DSS) Strategic Planning and Operations team strives to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency across the function. The Operations Manager supports the DSS Operations team and DSS Leadership with strategic projects to enhance operational and financial project management, as well as many other key activities.
Responsibilities:
Act as Chief of Staff for DSS VP and their function, supporting with various project and financial management activities as well as process improvements. Communicate/present key information to functional leadership. Financial Management activities can include tracking actual expenses and headcount vs financial benchmarks, and planning forecast/Budget/LRP etc.
Support, build and validate Demand based Algorithms for DSS roles
Responsible for assisting with strategic design, tactical execution, and establishing strategic planning for global operations activities and projects to achieve DSS strategies, goals, and objectives. Raise issues and opportunities as appropriate.
Participates in process improvement initiatives and support these end-to-end, as required.
Provide effective project management for initiatives within DSS as well as cross-functionally. Drive teams to execute defined deliverables.
Lead teams on special projects related to the team, such as integration, harmonization, systems, or employee culture survey.
Support DSS teams with meeting facilitation, contract payment processing and financial support as needed.
Work across partner functions to support various contract and vendor related activities such as invoicing, invoice resolution, and execution of various vendor engagements, supportive of DSS business activities.
Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
