Project Lead Engineer

Currently we're looking for multiple Project Lead Engineers to help us provide solutions on a project based in the South East.

The client specialise in high-specification electronic and optical systems for the Space industry. They work with space agencies around the world to integrate their systems onto spacecraft and ground based satellites, advancing the technology enabling us to understand more about our planet and deep space.

They have bids out on upcoming projects and are currently in need of multiple Project Lead Engineers (PLE) for their present programmes. The role of the PLE is to act as a technical point of contact between customer and the internal time, providing technical oversight, managing requirements, engineering governance and dealing with the full life-cycle of the project.

This project will be a minimum 6 month deployment with a high probably of extension. Their current programmes are running for the next 24 months. This will require on site presence in Essex, but some flexibility will be possible.

In order to suit the project requirements you should have some of the following:

Technical Leadership Background (Systems Engineering, Semiconductors,
Microelectronics)
Space Sector Experience (Delivery of projects to ECSS Standards) (If no
experience in Space, Defence or Aerospace to MILSTD's)
Customer Management Experience (Requirements & negating scope
creep)
Semiconductor understanding (NCT or Silicon Based)
Systems Engineering Expertise
Engineering Management Plan (Reviews, Tests, Requirements)
