You’ll be working on projects and implementations of systems used in countries around the world and be part of a large community of agile teams. A lot of project communication is done through video so travel is limited and based on need.What we’re looking forFor our Europe development center in Eindhoven we’re looking for a Senior QA Analyst that is able to work on enterprise type applications used across the world.As Senior QA Analyst at UPS you perform functions on highly complex IT Systems used worldwide. As part of an agile team you work closely together with the business functions, team members and the IT Department. Your primary role is to analyze software, and systems, mitigating risks and preventing software issues. By execution of automated and manual tests you ensure that developed software is fit for purpose.What do you do on an average day?
  • You analyze User Stories for validity and Feasibility
  • Design and develop automation scripts when needed
  • Perform system verification testing activities to include
  • Unit and Integration
  • Systems Acceptance
  • Regression
  • Performance and Security
  • Inspections
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
  • Apply quality engineering standards throughout the Application Development Lifecycle
  • Perform fault slip-through analysis on identified defects
  • Maintain documentation on test cases as part of design and planning
  • Work together with other members in the agile team
  • Provide innovative ideas and solutions in a dynamic environment
What do we expect of you?
  • Education: minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems Management, Business studies or Information technology.
  • Experience: 5-8 years as a Software Tester preferably in an agile environment.
  • Experience working in logistics and knowledge of Brokerage is an advantage.
  • Skills: SDLC & Software Testing principles; Agile Principles, Advanced skills in application development and testing practices. Excellent analytical capabilities;
  • Knowledge and experience with Testing and QA processes and methodologies
  • Experience in creation of test plans, test cases and test scripts (incl. estimation)
  • Familiar with test management tools such as HP Quality Centre
  • Familiar with automated testing tools such as HP UFT, Selenium, LeanFT, Specflow
  • Experience using load/volume test generators such as HP LoadRunner
  • Knowledge on database schemas and SQL
  • Foundational knowledge on .Net, basic familiarity with C#, XML
  • Workflow Management Tools such as TFS, JIRA or equivalent
  • Exposure to requirements analysis and coding (BDD, TDD) would be advantageous
  • Experience as a Scrum Master/Product Owner is desirable
