Our client is a globally renowned FinTech firm that provides full spectrum solutions to the institutional wealth management industry. They are continuing to enjoy record profits. Consequently, they continue expanding their relatively new Blockchain tech team to leverage the potential of distributed ledger technology (DLT) to enhance their existing product offerings.
You will have experience in Java development and Hyperledger Fabric. You will be developing financial services functionality on Blockchain or DLT based solutions and helping to create the new global tokenised asset-based financial services infrastructure. This will include the management of traditional assets and integration of business data flows into blockchain-based solutions.
THE ROLE: Blockchain Developer Hyperledger Fabric
* Develop real-time transaction processing systems that support millions of trades every day in investment securities in multiple world markets
* Help design and build APIs and external system interfaces for integration into core products and third-party vendor applications
* Interpret complex financial business requirements and translate them into high- transactional, high-availability, secure working systems
* Assist in the creation of user story definitions and acceptance criteria, ensuring the solution is well-defined and fit-for-purpose
* Provide solutions and recommendations for the resolution of technical issues that arise
* Keep abreast of the latest and/or relevant technologies, tools and methods. Identify the adoption of technology, tools and techniques best suited
* Create novel solutions to problems by incorporating cutting-edge technology
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Blockchain Developer Hyperledger Fabric
Primary requirements
* Commercial experience developing Hyperledger Fabric chain code and working with open-source blockchain platforms
* 4+ years of software development experience, creating full-stack applications with Java, PostgreSQL and REST APIs
* Experience with Blockchain or distributed ledger technologies, especially with open-source blockchain platforms or the development of smart contracts
* Exposure to Public Cloud (AWS preferred)
* Confident and able to take the initiative in a delivery-focused environment
* Independent, self-directing working style
* Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced industry
* Enjoy working as part of a high-performance team
* Hard-working, innovative, and takes pride in their work
Secondary requirements
* Experience working with additional open-source or commercial blockchain platforms (e.g., Hyperledger Besu, Corda or Ethereum);
* Experience with blockchain-based payment networks and settlement approaches;
* Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes or AWS infrastructure;
* Experience working in an agile environment
* Familiarity with financial products and markets
