Please refer to our website for all ; This is an exciting time to join us and help shape and develop our newly formed cross-border Global Trade Operations and Compliance (GTOC) division with a dedicated focus on Customs compliance. This newly created leadership position is responsible to identify, document, and capture compliance of complex and demanding activities with very high requirements of service for a region using extensive and detailed trade compliance ; You will need to collaborate with relevant functional expert leads to develop goals and objectives that share mutual outcomes for the benefit of the business. In addition you will develop and implement trade compliance operations strategies and standard processes to achieve trade compliance goals and objectives for regional cross border ; The position will lead the regional trade compliance team and have accountability for all trade compliance activity in the region, including developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. It requires a skilled individual to manage the processes along with a continuous improvement mindset. Main Tasks: Develop and implement regional trade compliance strategy, implement and maintain trade compliance standards and best practice processes to comply with applicable global/regional/local regulations including those administered by the participating government agencies Approve and make decisions on the most complex issues to resolve trade compliance operations barriers while minimizing risk and impact to the business in consultation with relevant functional expert leads Develop, implement, and enhance trade compliance operations management systems, and processes with a view to harmonize and align globally/regionally for optimal efficiency Identify and document trade compliance opportunities and gaps in procedures, partnering with relevant regional functional Centres of Expertise (COE’s) as appropriate. Develop departmental strategies and procedures based upon best practice Develop and maintain relationships with governmental agencies, brokers and businesses to ensure the free flow of goods across borders Oversee the execution of regional trade compliance operations review, pre/post transactional audits and trade data. Ensure outcomes are implemented, monitored and communicated accordingly Direct and oversee the development of cross border related compliance trainings for teams involved in cross border activities Partner with Global Trade Compliance (GTC) team to align, manage and monitor trade compliance operations and key performance indicators (KPI). Responsible for people management including recruiting, retention, coaching, development and engagement Kwalificaties University Degree or equivalent Proven Trade Compliance Experience preferably gained within a similar large, complex global organization Demonstrable and effective leadership experience Communicate effectively and ability to influence across the organization and with external stakeholders Developing and leading high performing work teams including focus on continuous improvement Experience building a new business or organization Result driven performance Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to manage complexity Technical trade compliance knowledge Local language(s) in addition to English Our Offer In return for your expertise and commitment, we will provide a fast paced stimulating environment, which will stretch your abilities and channel your talents.
