Job description
Inventory Controller Permanent Role - £26,000 per annum - 37.5 hours a week.

This pivotal role is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels across all of the business. You will play a crucial role in optimising inventory control processes, ensuring inventory accuracy, and minimising stock discrepancies.

You will be responsible for implementing effective inventory control systems, conducting regular stock audits, and coordinating with the purchasing and warehouse teams to streamline inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities (including but limited to)

· Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all of the business.

· Ensure that cycle counts are planned and completed as per customer requirements.

· Work with operations to ensure regular physical and cycle counts are completed, to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.

· Analyse inventory data and implement corrections and corrective actions as required.

· Implement and improve auditing processes to identify and resolve inventory issues or discrepancies.

· Maintain proper documentation of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.

· Collaborate with clients and suppliers to track orders, resolve delivery issues, and ensure accurate inventory levels.

· Generate inventory reports and provide analysis on stock levels, turnover, and potential risks or opportunities.

· Identify inefficiencies in inventory control processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

· Work closely with other operations, customer services and purchasing to ensure accurate and seamless inventory management.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Core Skills

· Diploma or equivalent. Additional training in inventory management is preferred.

· 2-3 years of experience in inventory control or related field.

· Strong understanding of inventory management principles, inventory control techniques, and best practices.

· Proficiency in using SAP and MS Office for data analysis and reporting.

· Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.

· Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimise inventory control processes.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

· Effective problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory-related issues.

· Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
