Are you a M&E Project Engineer with railway experiences on tunnels?
 
Salary: £57,000 - £70,000 (Including 20% Flex Fund)
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid 3 days a week in the office.
 
Role Details:
Joining a growing team of six responsible for the management of both internal and external stakeholders including main contractors, you will be working in a hybrid working environment,
 
As an M&E Project Engineer you will be working on tunnels and helping in the successful delivery of Phase 1 of HS2 working on ventilation and lighting. While not a technical specialist, your background as a general M&E Engineer within the rail industry will be crucial. You'll be responsible for coordinating technical assurance, distributing documents, and collating responses. Additionally, you'll support the lead project engineer, undertake supporting interfacing management, risk reduction meetings, and handling technical queries will be among your key responsibilities.

Requirements:
·Minimum of 5 years' experience in M&E engineering
·Background working with clients or experience on major projects such as HS2, NR, TFL, Crossrail, or similar
·Experience working on the client or consultancy side, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
·Familiarity with tunnel systems M&E contracts, including ventilation, lighting, and mains
·Ability to interface with main work systems and review designs for tunnel services, integrating them into cable ladder and document management systems
·Delivery-focused mindset with a strong understanding of detailed design principles
·Proven track record of managing projects within the rail industry, preferably involving tunnels
·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
 
Preferred:
·Membership to a relevant professional body.
·Chartered
