Composite Design Engineer , Derby

* Work on the design of a range of tools, jigs and equipment used for the production of components.

We are currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer who is used to working closely with production for the design of equipment. The company manufacture composite components that supply into a diverse customer base. Knowledge of designing for CNC manufacturing would be particularly useful, but not essential.
Salary & Package: £37,000 to £45,000 per annum basic. Early Friday finish. 25 days holiday + banks. Company pension scheme. Additional benefits / perk package – the company really value employee welfare.
This Composite Design Engineer job will suit:
* Qualified to HND/degree level or equivalent in mechanical engineering
* Experience in the mechanical design for manufacturing purposes. Specific jigs, moulds knowledge would be an advantage.
* Specific Catia CAD package experience is required for this position.
* An understanding of composite manufacturing experience would be a significant advantage for this position.

The Composite Design Engineer job will involve:
* Using Catia software to design a range of moulds, jigs and fixtures used within manufacturing.
* Working closely with the manufacturing team to identify requirements and how production techniques may impact design.
* Compiling associated reports upon completion.
* Problem solving to find design solutions.
