Role Purpose:
Lead a portfolio of change projects, ensuring all projects are managed in line with the project management methodology to achieve successful project delivery, ensuring all projects are resourced  according to PME level requirements. The project Director role is to support the Divisional portfolio of change, bringing positive challenge and identification of risk to the overall business performance.   
Key Responsibilities

Manage the project portfolio and lead a team of Project Managers through appropriate resource allocation and ensuring projects are implemented in Sector on time within budget.
Set organizational strategy governing direction to ensure compliance to O2D processes, DePICT Project Management Methodology and Planview are applied (This includes Manage risks and ensure solutions to problems are implemented in line with proper change control processes).
Work with Business Development and Solutions Design team to support the bid process from a Project Delivery perspective
Build strong working relationships and manage expectations with all stakeholders across in country with particular reference to Operations Owners and Sponsors
Manage coaching, training, career and development planning opportunities to build capability within Country Project Delivery Team
All projects delivered on time, on budget, within scope and within agreed quality standardsKey Accountabilities

Lead O2D in country to ensure all functions are comply to O2D Processes from Pre-sales to Project implementation
Project Delivery ratios of 2.4 per project person target is set in the department strategy - Customer exceptions will be taken into accountCustomer:

Deliver the project management strategy governing direction and conduct of project management, including application of appropriate methodologies and alignment to the business strategy
Manage the issues on the project, drive resolution of issues for a satisfactory outcome and escalate issues as appropriate
Intervene in projects as required to ensure benefit realisation. Challenge assumptions when required
Ensure proper commercial completeness before Operational Go Live in part of Project Implementation 
Stakeholder

Build strong working relationships and manage expectations of all stakeholders. Establish well structured communication plans and ensure all communication is tailored to stakeholder needs.
Engage and influence business leaders to develop effective project risk management and improvement plans for critical projects
Ensure clear communication is established with Sector SMT 
Process

Accountable for managing and governing O2D Compliance, DePICT Project Management Methodology and risk management process. Ensures the Plan View system is a true reflection of project / portfolio status at the end of every week
Ensure Projects are deliver with best practices project documentation in accordance to DePICT templates, O2D templates, complete to quality standards, kept up to date and available throughout the projects and maintained in Planview timely and accurately
Provide Pre-sales support to early stage of O2D processes. This includes training of O2D Processes across all functions in country. Functional approver in BCA /PRB process.
Manage the application of ACT Change Management Methodology and approach. Identify, manage and influence stakeholders to achieve business benefits.
Manage Project Performance against the business cases and implement action plans to ensure benefit realization and ensure robust change control processes are employed to manage variances to the Business case.
Lead and direct a health and safety culture
Establish a PMO in country to ensure all Project Managers are equipped with the appropriate training and skills set to advance their career in the organization
Assure Operational Fundamental (OMS) standards are in place in every project implementation before Go Live
Sponsor the deployment of lessons learnt output and feedback to drive continuous improvement 
People Management

Lead and direct the development of the sector project management community and the people management strategy to deliver business benefits through: skills assessment, training programmes, processes and toolsets
Assess, coach and develop country Project Delivery Team in accordance to Project Management Excellence (PME) and Project Management Core Competencies.
