Our client is passionate about transforming plastic waste into a valuable commodity. They have developed a worldwide presence, serving hundreds of customers in over 20 countries covering polymers such as ABS, HDPE, LDPE, MDPE, PET, PP, PS and PVC. This role has been created to maximize business opportunities in the Turkish market.

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will be dedicated to enhancing the company's market position and growth by developing sales markets for recyclable plastics sourced from their global offices in Australia, Finland, Ireland and UK. Also important is developing procurement of recycled plastic resins from the Turkey market for sale to Asia.

Skilled in building effective networks, you will appreciate the long-term approach to developing customer relationships and the need to secure a diverse customer base. You will understand from first hand experiences the nuances associated with operating in the Turkey market. Adept at identifying business opportunities, you will adopt an inquisitive, yet strategic approach to developing the company's business and form strong relationships with colleagues around the world.

An excellent communicator motivated by taking ownership of your work, you will relentlessly pursue new business with a measured and methodical approach. You must effectively negotiate to maximise pricing and agree secure terms. You will be highly motivated by helping to shape the development of your own role and by contributing to a developing global organization. You will demonstrate an optimistic and persistent approach coupled with a desire to exceed targets. Not willing to settle for second best, you will take an analytical approach to your work and see challenges as an opportunity to learn.

Role Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you are required to have experience building an extensive customer base throughout Turkey where you have executed sales of imported commodities or raw materials used in manufacturing. You must also possess experience building a sales team, establishing new processes and procedures in order to successfully manage risk and achieve financial targets. You will be willing to undertake frequent travel throughout Turkey (and sometimes overseas) and work beyond usual office hours.

For EU roles, candidates must be eligible to work and live in the European Union.
