Role: 2nd Line Engineer
Location: Dubai, UAE - Office Based
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 (120,000 Dirham per annum)
Contract: Full-time permanent 3-year fixed term which auto-renews
We are in partnership with a leading global managed services provider in the IT sector, seeking a skilled IT Help Desk Technician. This crucial position plays a key role in our client's service delivery team, offering an exceptional opportunity to support a wide range of industries with global IT requirements through innovative and reliable IT solutions.
Role Overview:
The IT Help Desk Technician will be at the forefront of providing 2nd line support to a diverse client base, managing issues through ticketing systems and direct phone support. This role combines technical expertise with customer service excellence, making it a perfect match for a tech-savvy professional passionate about driving positive outcomes and enhancing client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Provide second-line support to clients, diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
Collaborate with 1st Line Engineers to ensure seamless escalation and resolution of complex problems.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
Monitor client systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Document and update support tickets, maintaining accurate records.
Contribute to projects, including migrations, upgrades, and rollouts. About you:
Proven experience in a similar 2nd Line IT Support role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365.
Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL) are advantageous.
