As an experienced Chef, you will work alongside the Catering Team on a full time basis at Adderley Green Care Centre in Stoke-on-Trent. You will be working 4 days a week, 3 shifts will be 7am - 6pm and 1 shift will be 7am to 3:30pm.

You will have responsibility for the provision of high quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents and will work within the agreed budgetary guidelines.

Your responsibility

To ensure that food preparation meets all Food Hygiene standards and Policies and Procedures;
Manage all stock and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and correct stock rotation systems are in place to comply with Food Hygiene Regulations and Company policies;

To maintain concise records and provide reports as necessary;

To assist and support Head Chef with new menus;

Complete the appropriate Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and HACCP checks

To be successful in this role, you will:

Have City and Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ 2 in Food Preparation
Previous experience in a similar environment
Basic food hygiene knowledge
Confidant in following instructions and using equipment.
Knowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Regulations.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

You will be working at Adderley Green, which consists of two units. Moorcroft Manor is a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, while Gladstone House is a specialist inpatient unit for people over 65 living with complex dementia.

Both units have extensive facilities catering for the specific needs of people aged over 18 years who have complex neurological care and rehabilitation requirements, and those who are above 65 and living with complex dementia.

You will working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver truly person-centred services where each individual is at the heart of everything.
