Our client, a leading company in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the adherence to quality procedures and standards within the company.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and execute the internal audit program to ensure adherence to company procedures and recognized standards
Conduct internal audits across all areas of the business on a continual basis
Drive investigations and root cause analysis for audit non-conformances
Schedule, track, and report on supplier quality audits completed by the Supplier Quality Team
Maintain and communicate quality metrics for tracking and meet targets
Implement defined quality improvement initiatives
Provide general support to the Business Management System process
Cooperate with management to meet employer's legal duties and ensure health and safety
Core competencies:
Experienced in leading internal audits to recognized aerospace standards
Proven quality experience in an Aerospace, Defence, or AS9100 environment
Professional conduct, engaging manner, and good communication skills
Proven background in maintaining Quality Management Systems
Planning and scheduling of audits, both internally and within the supply base
Clear communication skills for reporting on audit findings
Excellent understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actions
Attention to detail and a methodical approach
Ability to use databases to record audits and status
Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised and a passion for process improvement
Additional competencies will be provided through the competency matrix and linked to the relevant job level
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree qualified or equivalent - desired
Thorough understanding of Defence and/or Aerospace Quality requirements
Knowledge of CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) and/or EASA
Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, and/or AS9110
Computer numeracy, particularly in Excel
