They pride themselves on delivering high-quality services to our loyal customers and maintaining a close-knit, collaborative work environment. Due to growth, they are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis.
The Role:
As a Part-Time Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the business. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and providing valuable insights to aid in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing clear financial insights and analysis.
• Monitor company financial performance and highlight variances against the budget.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/auditors.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage VAT returns and other tax submissions.
• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
• Monthly IF Reconciliation
• Purchase ledger coding and inputting
• Daily bank reconciliation
• Provide ad-hoc financial support to the business owners as required.
Key Requirements:
• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a similar management accounting role, ideally within a small or family-run business.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
• Proficient in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial information to non-finance shareholders.
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Flexible approach and a willingness to support the wider team.
