We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and work closely with a child with autism, starting in September.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a patient, empathetic, and skilled Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with autism. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping the child achieve their full potential both academically and socially. This position requires someone who is committed, reliable, and passionate about making a positive impact on the child's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support to the child with autism in a classroom setting.
Assist in implementing and following individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to the child's specific needs.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Help the child develop social skills, independence, and confidence.
Work closely with the class teacher, special education staff, and other professionals to ensure the child's needs are met.
Monitor and document the child's progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher and parents.
Adapt teaching materials and strategies to accommodate the child's learning style and needs.
Support the child during transitions and unstructured times to ensure a consistent and secure environment.Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (SEN).
Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ, or equivalent).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Understanding of autism spectrum disorder and strategies to support children with autism in a school setting.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Desirable:

Experience with implementing and following IEPs.
Training in specific autism interventions or strategies (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, ABA).What We Offer:
