Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated Learning and Resilience Mentor to join our team at our exceptional SEND specialist school in Derby. Key Requirements:

Demonstrated experience working with young people
Ability to effectively support individuals with diverse needs
Strong organisational and communication skills
Genuine desire to inspire and support children learning
Interest in working with a variety of SEND conditions
Previous experience with additional needs is advantageous
Capacity to provide teaching references and work collaboratively within a team
Understanding of managing children with complex needs

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
Provide personalised support during lessons, activities, and breaks
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and foster independence
Assist with personal care and daily routines as required
Engage with a range of SEND needs, including non-verbal communication
Deliver targeted 1:1 or small group activities to enhance learning outcomes
