Secondary PE Teacher needed to teach across KS3/4 at a fantastic mainstream secondary - South Birmingham

Full time - September 2024

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic teacher of PE to join a wonderful mainstream secondary school super local to you ! Whether you have years of experience or are gaining your QTS qualification this year, the school are excited to hear from you !

This fantastic mainstream school is forward thinking, highly successful and we have lots of supply staff happily working there! We can also take into account the opportunity for any further responsibility i.e. HOD if keen.

The school are flexible with start dates and can start someone ASAP or September 2024! We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher with a real passion for sport and Physical Education.

There is an expectation that the successful PE Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 , including GCSE PE. There will also be the opportunity as part of this post to take on the role on a longer term basis after 12 weeks to sign on a AWR rate and receive same entitlement as school permanent staff.

The successful PE Teacher would:

Need to teach a variety of sports and take an active role in an extremely popular extra-curricular programme, showing a clear commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for pupils of all abilities.
Have a record of delivering consistently good to outstanding lessons and have the ability to develop active learning strategies to challenge and inspire all of our pupils.
Be able to contribute to, organize, develop and deliver schemes of work, which help promote engagement, excellence, and independence.
