Are you a Structural Engineer with expertise in timber and steel structures? Join our client's team and play a key role in the design of some great projects.
Do you possess the expertise in calculation for main member, connection, and temporary works?
Are you looking for a role where the projects you are designing are innovative, sustainable and good to look at?
We are working with a specialist supplier of structures using mass timber and structural steelwork, working in the Commercial, Residential and Educational sectors, who are seeking Structural Engineers for their Derby and/or London offices. Experience is preferred but a Graduate with a strong emphasis on timber (likely to have studied at Edinburgh Napier or Coventry Universities if in the UK) would be considered.
As Structural Engineer you will be:

Designing and analysing structural steel and timber systems
Carrying out feasibility studies and site inspections, assessing structural integrity
Collaborating with a range of stakeholders to develop design concepts
Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents
Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and standards
Performing calculations and simulations to evaluate load-bearing capacitiesAre you:

Qualified to Masters degree level in Structural or Civil Engineering
Proven experience as a Structural Engineer with expertise primarily in steel and timber structures OR Graduate with the appropriate timber related modules covered in your course (applications will not be considered without this essential requirement)
Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Tekla, Asta Powerproject or similar)
Good knowledge of British standards and/or Eurocodes
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Professional accreditation with IStructE or ICE would be of particular benefit Benefits:
