There will be a wide, varied workload and the role will focus on the design and management of a diverse range of projects including health, education, commercial, custodial and residential.

With assistance from Senior Engineers, you will take on responsibility for smaller projects or parts of larger projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality, on time, and to budget.

You will also have opportunities to achieve chartered status, with mentors for both IStructE and ICE and access to regular workshops and seminars tailored to signing off the core objectives as part of the chartership process.

Key Responsibilities:

Assume responsibility (with support from others) for smaller projects or parts of larger projects
Assist in the development of structural design briefs from internal and external clients
Collaboratively develop the structural design, prepare supporting calculations, and manage preparation of drawings for a wide range of commissions in all usual materials and structural forms
Assist with day-to-day commercial management of structural engineering commissions
Act as a point of contact for queries/informal structural engineering advice to others both from within and beyond the Practice.About You

As a Structural Engineer, you will have relevant and demonstrable experience within the industry, with a passion for growing your knowledge and progressing within our consultancy.

You will be able to use your initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team, taking on responsibility of projects where required.

Key Requirements:

Minimum of BSc or BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering (2.2 min.), MSc or MEng preferred
Approaching Incorporated/Chartered membership of ICE or IStructE - desirable
Experience relevant to UK practice, of which at least partly spent within a design office
Knowledge of UK design standards, codes of practice and methods of construction
Familiarity with structural engineering modelling, analysis, and design software
