The commercial division at SF Recruitment are currently working with a large manufacturing organisation based in Leicester, to recruit for a People Advisor - Early Careers to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
As the People Advisor - Early Careers you will work with the key internal and external stakeholders, contributing to delivery of the Early Careers strategy in line with an agreed annual plan and budget, ensuring an excellent development experience for participants and maximum benefit to the business. Also, to co-ordinate activities to deliver continuous improvement of the schemes.
As the People Advisor - Early Careers you will
- Co-ordinate the recruitment process for each EC scheme, from authorisation to recruit, through to job offer.
- Co-ordinate Assessment Centres, from assisting in the development of material to planning and facilitating the event
- Manage the Pre-boarding, Onboarding and Induction of new starters
- Provide site People team / line managers with guidance on the Role Profile content and planning of induction, training and support for the participants
- Manage and support with the delivery of colleague relations casework including absence management, disciplinary and grievance cases as required. Promptly provide updates and information in line with agreed escalation points. Coach and provide guidance to line managers to improve capability and to ensure cases are managed effectively and constructively, and with sensitivity to the colleague experience.
- Provide constructive commercially driven advice and guidance to all line managers on policies, procedures, and employment matters, taking time to identify any opportunities and risks to ensure great solutions for the business that are aligned with group values and ways of working.
- Manage a routine 'check-in' process with line managers, participants and mentors to ensure early intervention on any issues and to identify opportunities to build on development, etc
- Manage and deliver projects which address the continuous improvement of the schemes and the Early Careers strategy
- Maintain the ongoing communication plan to engage past scheme participants
- Co-ordinate the external / internal training / apprenticeships for scheme participants including monitoring their progress and engaging with site L&D colleagues
- Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the key trends and challenges in the Early Careers space, and to manage external benchmarking exercises when required
- Organise and promote Presentation days and other events
