We have an opportunity available for a Warehouse & Stores Operative to join our team based in Bridgwater. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary

Monmouth Scientific Limited (MSL) is a market leading UK based manufacturer of clean air solutions (Filtration Fume Cabinets, Biological Safety Cabinets, Laminar Air, and ISO Class Cleanrooms) for a diverse market base including laboratory, research, pathology, forensics, pharmaceutical, electronics and aerospace.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse & Stores Operative will include:

Working in an organised, structured, and tidy manner, unloading deliveries and raising issue with any obvious damage or shortages
Checking and receipting / booking deliveries into Warehouse, communicating with Stores, in line with new Sage 200 system processes
Storing large items in the Warehouse and splitting into ‘kits’ as and when required at a later stage.
Assisting with Stock Checks, ensuring that figures are accurate ongoing
Ensuring that Products and Equipment are stored and loaded/unloaded in a safe manner, to negate any damage to stock or injury to yourself or others
Taking the lead on Warehouse tasks, unless directed otherwise by Supervisors or Managers
Taking responsibility for Forklifts & Pump Trucks, cleaning and inspecting regularly to ensure safe working practices
Working in ‘Stores’ to book and ‘kit’ parts in and out of Racking in line with Company processes, ensuring that all Production Staff follow the same procedures
Working alongside Stores & Warehouse Staff to help ensure Sage and Stock levels remain accurate
Replenishing shelves as necessary and moving stock using a Pallet Truck or Forklift as and when required

Essential key skills we're looking for in our Warehouse & Stores Operative:

Proficient organisational and workload management skills, able to work flexibly and re-prioritise to meet a continuously changing schedule, with minimal management supervision when necessary.
Calm disposition under pressure, able to make effective decisions and work to tight deadlines, with a practical, motivational, ‘adapt and overcome’ attitude to each task.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with high personal standards and a ‘driven’ approach to work.
Able to follow processes and quality-controlled standards of work, in line with Company procedures.
Personable nature, able to liaise confidently at all levels through effective communication and listening skills.
