Senior Composite Design Engineer
Location: Melton Mowbray, LE14 3NQ
Salary: Starting from £55,000 per annum, DOE
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Senior Composite Design Engineer – The Role
Responsibilities;
• Optimise design solutions to meet customer expectations.
• Work within the commercial parameters of budget for all tooling design, under guidance.
• Create designs for patterns and mould.
• Communicate with the machine shop to ensure best practice.
• Work to tight deadlines and internal priorities to complete work within time frames.
• Create all technical drawings for all manufacturing departments.
• Work within the ISO 9001:2015 criteria to ensure all data is controlled.
• Update any data change from customers.
• Assist in the management of all customer data revisions.
• Support inspection and other manufacturing departments, under guidance.
• Ability to utilise a variety of materials.
• Ability to Coach and Mentor Junior Team Members.
Senior Composite Design Engineer – What we need from you
The successful candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Engineering or the equivalent in Engineering experience within the Automotive industry.
Skills & Experience;
• CAD design (Catia V5 / 3D Experience)
• Tooling Design / Surface Design and Modelling.
• Ability to work to multiple priorities.
• Experience in Composites Machining.
• Experience within the Automotive sector.
• Good Microsoft Office use.
• Commercial Awareness.
• Minimum 2 years of working within composites or relevant manufacturing background.
• Manufacturing knowledge.
• Excellent Communication skills.
