Copywriter

Company: CV-Library
Job type: Full-time
Salary:
25,000 - 30,000 GBP/Year

Our Client, a growing digital marketing company based in Liverpool, specialise in the legal sector and have plans to expand into other areas such as SEO services and travel.

We're seeking an experienced copywriter to join our expanding and creative team. Our ideal candidate would be driven, determined and motivated to succeed, as well as trustworthy when it comes to their work and both willing and able to learn quickly. Given our specialism in law, we’re looking for someone with a legal background.

You can expect rewards and bonuses such as pizza days, cakes, biscuits and other treats, as well as regular social events.

The job is office-based, with some flexibility with working from home (upon completion of your probationary period) and hours of work.

What We’re Looking For

As a copy editor, you'll be assigned a number of articles and guides to edit each day. These articles are informative and SEO-driven. Our ideal candidate will have:

●A strong background in writing, or a passion for writing, is an absolute must. Within your application, please provide links to or examples of your writing—fiction or non-fiction.

●A law degree (LLB) or experience in a law firm is desirable—much of the content we produce is focused on the legal sector.

●Attention to detail is a big part of this role. You will be expected to edit sometimes complex and technical articles which require a sharp editorial eye.

●Conducting research forms a big part of this role. Our articles cover technical points which need to be verified. Experience in research and scrutinising data sources is therefore essential.

●Organisation is also vital. You will be responsible for your workload and will, once training is completed, be assigned daily targets and deadlines which you must meet.

●Knowledge of SEO and experience in using WordPress is desirable. Edited articles must be prepared in a way that maximises SEO performance. Guidance will, however, be provided by our expert team.

●We pride ourselves on our friendly, sociable and laidback atmosphere, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. We're a close-knit team that supports each other in every aspect of our jobs. We seek people who are willing to go above and beyond for their colleagues.

Day To Day Duties

●Editing and publishing a number of articles per day in line with your individual target

●Supervising the members of your team (no more than 4 people)

●Handling any queries in relation to your team member’s roles or in relation to their job or work environment

●Providing regular work-related feedback and support to your team

●Ensuring the spreadsheets are completed each morning

●Meeting once per week with managers to report any issues
