Are you a University Student in your 2nd or 3rd year studying Chemical Engineering? Are you now looking for a one-year intern placement?

Here at British Gypsum, we're offering a Process Engineering placement at our site in East Leake Nottinghamshire.

What will I be doing?

An active member of Process team investigating reactive issues.
Analysing breakdowns and assisting with root cause analysis activities
Liaising with Operators and Control Engineers on project works and reactive works.
Update daily, weekly and monthly KPIs on team improvement boards (Including project boards, Pillar boards and central systems)
Running environmental and cost saving projects
Assist team on developing systems on data collection and process data collection.
Working in an active manufacturing site

What will I need to be considered?

Must be in an active university course studying Chemical Engineering or a related Science degree (2nd or 3rd year)
Knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics &, Heat and Mass Balance)
Ability to working cross-functionally and communicate effectively.
Understand and identify process bottlenecks from upstream to downstream, throughput capacity, limitations and opportunities for improvement.
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
