*    £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Blitz Gooday is a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, Chartered Tax Advisers, and Registered Auditors. Our small, busy practice looks after around 200 clients from various industries. We view ourselves as part of our clients’ team, providing day-to-day support as well as traditional services.

We are looking for a Bookkeeper with 5 years of bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice.

About the Role:

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you'll manage your own portfolio of approximately 30-40 clients, handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero, Dext, and Sage 50. From reconciliations to VAT returns, you'll ensure that our clients' financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

*    Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero, Dext, and Sage 50
*    Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations
*    Prepare and review VAT returns
*    Train clients on the use of Xero and troubleshoot client data
*    Run payrolls and manage pensions auto-enrolment
*    Handle bookkeeping and credit control for our practice
*    Assist with ad hoc accounts tasks and practice management

The Ideal Candidate:

We're looking for someone with:

*    At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice
*    Excellent communication and organisational skills
*    Proficiency in Xero and expert knowledge of VAT
*    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*    Prior experience in credit control, payroll, and pensions auto-enrolment is advantageous
