HR Manager - Operations
The main purpose of the role is to undertake a comprehensive HR Operations Manager role within the business as follows:
* HR transactional activities and feed throughs to Payroll;
* HR system and process development and deployment;
* Management of employee relations casework and providing pragmatic HR advice to managers for managers to make decisions;
* Leading the HR team and function in these areas;
* Leading, taking action, and supporting projects in the business, such as HR system and process change, TUPE transfers, and Compensation and Benefits;
* Working closely and collaboratively with the HR Director, Payroll Manager and other departments and managers in the business;
* Other duties as required for the effective operation of the HR and Payroll function.
The role is full time and based fully onsite at Felixstowe. Working hours are 09:00-1730 Monday to Friday with an option for occasional flexibility.
HR Manager - Operations - PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
* Previous line management of a HR function or team.
* Previous management of HR processes and HR transactional activities.
* Previous HR project experience.
* Ability to work at pace and be driven by this.
* Ability to deliver objectives on time and when promised.
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
* Excellent attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
* Excellent knowledge, experience and desire to work with HR systems.
* Drive and determination with a business-focus and a ‘can do-will do-it’s done’ approach.
* Pragmatic approach and used to handling risk management in employment law.
* System-savvy, used to extensive data analysis and system development / projects.
* Ability for occasional visits to Depots to build relationships with managers and provide HR briefings/training.
Desirable
* Transport / Logistics sector experience.
* TUPE experience.
* CIPD qualification / membership.
