Job Description
This is a full time, permanent opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified Accountant to join our busy head office department.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful management accounts and financial data for the business.

We have a strong team culture and so the role will be fully based at our office in St Ives. Occasional travel to our other subsidiary companies in Gloucester, Slough, London and other UK locations may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
Post daily cash postings/bank reconciliation and issue weekly cash reports
Maintain and update rolling 13-week cashflow forecast
Produce monthly management accounts, including routine journal postings (accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc)
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly board pack schedules
Reconcile Group intercompany accounts
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Assist with preparation of quarterly VAT returns Assist with year-end financial statements and audit queries
Assist Finance teams within subsidiary companies as and when required
Ad hoc reports and analysis
Necessary Skills
Essential:
AAT qualified or part qualified / newly qualified ACCA / CIMA
Competent user of Microsoft Excel
Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise tasks, and meet strict deadlines
High attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
Must have previous experience of working in a finance team
Desirable
Knowledge of Exchequer or Sage accounting system
