Hello,
My client is engaged in the design, development, manufacture and test of niche products for the aerospace and defence industries. They are currently in need of a Manufacturing Operative (Upholstery) to join their team in Southend-on-Sea.
DUTIES:
* You must carry out various manufacturing functions within the Upholstery Manufacturing cell.
* To cut parts into complete kits referencing drawings, templates, work instructions and/or samples.
* To use a selection of small hand tools.
* Have experience of working in Upholstery and Manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read drawings
SKILLS:
ESSENTIAL :
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
* Demonstrable practical skills including competency in using hand tools
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Experience working in Upholstery and/or Manufacturing environment.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience of foam building/shaping
* Ability to read drawings
WORKING HOURS: Permanent, Full-Time, 39 Hours:
Mon – Thurs: 8:00 – 17:00 (30 mins lunch)
Fri: 8:00 – 13:00 (no lunch)
