Site Facilities Engineer

Thermit Welding, a world leading and strategic supplier to the Rail, Metro and Light Railway Industry, is seeking a Site Facilities Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of their Rainham, Essex, facility.

What you'll be doing:

Day to day maintenance of the manufacturing plant and machinery.
Model/Pattern manufacture.
Light building maintenance.
Occasional production manufacture/fabrication.
Provide mentoring to an apprentice.
Skills helpful for the role:

Must have either of the following qualifications: City & Guilds or NVQ certifications.
Proven Health & Safety knowledge in machine shop practices.
Able to operate Pneumatic and Hydraulics equipment.
Manual milling & turning, welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), plasma cutting.
Ability to understand and work from drawings.
Ability to work unsupervised and display own initiative.
Forklift truck licence would be an advantage.
