Female Support Worker

Our client is looking for Female Support Workers to support people with a learning disability to be empowered and in control of their own lives.

This post is exempt under Sch 9 Pt 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and is only open to female applicants.

Our client is a charity that support people with learning disabilities in the community. They want to demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society but they can't do this without you! They need Support Workers in the Great Wakering area to make their vision a reality.

Position: Support Worker
Location: Great Wakering, Essex
Job type: Full Time, Part Time and Relief hours available (guaranteed hours), up to 39 hours per week - This role is shift work
Salary: £9.01 per hour overtime and sleep-ins available

About the role:

The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people you work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Supporting someone with Learning Disabilities isn't just personal care; it's so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication.

The role of role Support Worker is incredibly varied, you will be supporting people with all aspects of daily living and no two days are the same.

About You:

As a Support Worker in this service you dont need to have worked in supported living before. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.

Youll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Maths is also required.

You will need to be flexible and able to work various shift patterns including early and late shifts and sleep-ins for which additional payments will be made.

Due to the location of this role a driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
