Process Operator

gap personnel is recruiting for Process operative on a permanent basis for our client located in Basildon.

The Process Operator's responsibility is to manufacture batches of top-quality pharmaceutical products by operating machinery, hand-packaging and labelling lines.

Salary: £23,850 per annum (increases after probation)  

Location: Basildon

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30)

Main Responsibilities:

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) protocols consistently.
Safely and efficiently operate production machinery, assisting with machinery setup and inspection for production.
Maintain precise records and data throughout all production stages.
Prioritize safety, promptly reporting any health and safety concerns to the production manager. Address any deviations from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, and GDP with the team leader.
Collaborate with the team leader and quality department to initiate production in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary checks and documentation are completed.
Stay informed about the latest production work systems and procedures.
Utilize the company's SAGE computer system for completing transactions.
Key Accountabilities:

Perform in-process checks to verify optimal machine performance throughout production phases.
Clean and maintain machinery and production areas following each batch.
Oversee start-up and shut-down procedures for machinery and production environment.
Monitor machinery to ensure compliance with quality and established standards.
Immediately report any issues or deviations in packaging procedures and prepare relevant packaging documentation.
Ensure packaged products are properly boxed and labelled.
Complete batch reconciliation accurately at the end of production, adhering to correct batch recording procedures.
