Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client who designs and manufactures production line equipment are keen to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in a small team to produce designs/drawings for mechanical systems and equipment.

Duties:

Using AutoCAD and Inventor to produce designs of enclosures, conveyors, ductwork, equipment layouts and other mechanical items
Produce BoM's schedules, schematics and sub-assembly drawings
Make modifications to drawings to reflect changes in design
Act as liaison between drawing office and other departments.
Requirements:

Must have worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer within an industrial design role
Must have a recognised engineering qualification
A working knowledge of Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Autodesk Vault preferable
Other 3D CAD software knowledge may be considered, such as SolidWorks etc.
Experience of working to BS 8888 drafting standards would be a benefit
Must have a good understanding of engineering techniques, including machining, sheet metal and fabrication
Must be able to interpret equipment assembly drawings
