My client is a specialist in the field of active and passive fire protection, turning over in excess of £20 million per year across the group.

They deliver fire safety works across the UK to a wide range of high profile clients, ensuring they provide a full turnkey solution across active and passive fire.

They've had an exciting period of growth, and have some well thought out strategic plans which should lead to further growth for the years to come.

They are seeking to strengthen the commercial team by recruiting a sales manager to drive the business forward over the next calendar year and enable them to hit their targets.

You will be responsible for the overall management of long-term sales and business development for the Company. This may include the integration of further fire businesses as the company continues to expand.

The core elements of the role include:

· Business development

· Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

· Tendering and bid writing oversight

· Strategic development – brand, pricing, market positioning

· Sales team and process management.

· Proposition management.

· Pricing strategy.

· Oversight of key supplier and subcontractors, applications, retentions, disputes

· Health & safety, environmental and quality compliance

The company has an outstanding pipeline of existing enquiries, quotes and orders. Based on the excellent delivery capability of the company, they are seeking to substantially upscale the business from its current £2.5m annual turnover to £5m+.

The role will be busy and varied and requires a confident, professional multi-tasker able to positively manage and develop the team and their associated processes.

Key required attributes:

· Target focused and strong sales drive

· A track record of delivering step change in revenues

· Enabling others to also achieve their objectives.

· Proven leadership and team development capabilities.

· Some technical Passive Fire knowledge preferred.

· Familiarity of working with IT based surveying and quoting tools/systems.

· Effective at forming and developing strong customer relationships.

· Effective at operating at and reporting to board level

· The ability to review contractual conditions.

· Experienced in completing large tenders for the construction industry.
