Electrical Controls Engineer

Location                            South of Cambridge
Employment type             Full time – 5 days a week in office, will require some overseas travel
Salary                               £55,000 - £60,000 (flex) plus benefits

Did you know that the textile industry is the world’s 2nd largest contributor to chemical pollution and accounts for 10% of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions?
I have recently partnered with a new client focused on developing unique clean-tech to help combat chemical pollution within the textile industry. They have developed a waterless digitally controlled dyeing technology, this machine produces no water waste and reduces energy consumption by 85% as compared to traditional dyeing.
They strongly believe that their clean-tech approach will lead to a world with zero pollution from textile dyeing and finishing.

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Controls Engineer with the following technical skills, experience and capabilities:

Able to develop machine control systems
Experience with B+R or ABB controls is ideal, may consider experience with other controls systems, and ideally have winding and servo systems experience
Must be able to program PLC and PC based industrial control systems from clean sheet starting point
Hands on experience with wiring control circuits and site commissioning
Understanding of analogue and digital control circuits applied to custom circuit boards an advantage
Produce electrical circuits and BOM for complete systems
Develop long term strategy for standardised components reducing inventorySkills and experience:

5 years industrial experience in manufacturing or product development
