Title: Planning Manager | Senior Planner
Location: Cambridge
My client is a regionally focused land promotion company based near Cambridge. They are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, commercially minded, and experienced Senior Planner / Planning Manager to work client side and help drive the growth and continued success of the team.
Position Overview:
This is a wide-ranging role for an ambitious individual with experience in working with Local Plan frameworks, project management and the ability to manage, coordinate and motivate consultant teams. Whilst we have a strong team ethic you will be a self-starter capable of working on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Steering the existing portfolio through the development plan review and development management processes, including conditions discharge.
Active participation in strategy discussions, exploring potential options to add value to the portfolio.
The appointment and co-ordination of external professional teams to deliver planning permission.
Preparing and monitoring budgets, costs and delivery programmes.
Reporting to landowner partners.
Evaluating the potential of new sites for residential and commercial development and researching new land opportunitiesQualifications
MRTPI or MRICS
Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in planning (or 5 years' post Chartered status)
Strong knowledge of Local Plans, UK planning legislation, regulations, and policies.
