We are delighted to be representing one of the Cambridge Colleges in their search for an Accountant on a 9 month fixed term contract based on site in Cambridge on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a varied role which has arisen due to a combination of maternity and sickness cover, combined with a number of system changes.
Typical duties include:
Various aspects of VAT, including VAT Returns, Capital Goods
Cashflow
Preparing Management Accounts (likely from April - June)
Budgetting and Forecasting
Supporting system go live duties
Assisting the Financial Controller with Year end tasks
Other various project tasks
Adhoc duties to support the team
Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a similar role is essential
Ideally qualified or QBE
Education/College experience in accounts would be advantageous
Ability to work with minimal supervision
IT Literate - Advanced Microsoft Excel would be essential
Team player with a flexible attitude
