PPRUK are working with a high street Opticians looking for an experienced Optical Assistant who can dispense to all levels and use their bright, bubbly personality to connect with customers.

This store is one that is looking for the right person. They want to see their staff grow and progress professionally so are keen to offer the Dispensing Optician course or further training if that’s your goal. They try to give their team the best possibilities to ensure that can achieve everything you want to.

Position: Optical Assistant
Location: St Neots
Salary: Up to £23,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours with at least one weekend day

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant:

* You will be meeting and greeting customers as they enter the store.

* Performing pre-screening tests accurately ensuring all results are communicated to the Optometrist prior to their appointment.

* Supporting customers with frame selection.

* Dispensing spectacles and making amendments repairs to frames.

* Be the first point of contact for anyone calling the store.

Ideal candidate:

* Previous experience in the role of an Optical Assistant is essential.

* You will have a bubbly and friendly personality.

* Ability to work both in a team and independently.

* Someone who is ambitious and wants to progress within the optics sector.
