Job: Structural Designer
Industry: Corrugated Packaging
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 / Office Hours Mon-Fri
My client is a leading packaging design and manufacturing company within the UK with numerous sites. They are looking to add an experienced pre production professional who possesses structural design skills to their team.
Pre production experience:
* Must have CAD system skills or AG CAD.
* Impact and/or illustrator software in particular would be beneficial.
* Must have structural design skills
* Work cross functionally across business to produce the best results
Pre production Job Role and Responsibilities:
* Preparing flexo/digital artworks for approval
* Image manipulation and colour correction where required.
* Colour managed proof output
* Conform to precise procedures and guidelines.
* Quality control of Print files, Cut files and Proof Specification
* Ordering inks
* Printing plates
* Problem solving with ops on the shop floor
* Maintain good communication skills internally and externally
* Work proficiently as an integral part of a busy, friendly production team
* Flexibility to meet the demands of the Company and deadlines defined
